Vernacular Food House

I selected my site location in Nur County that is located on the Caspian Sea Coast. Nur County is a county in Mazandaran province in Iran. The project site location from the north side is adjacent the Caspian Sea coast and from the south side, it has a view of a forest. My project was entitled “Vernacular Food House” and included two major parts. The first major part was a restaurant which sub-divided to two sections: traditional food section and modern food section. These two parts included their own zones with different design aspects. The second major part was the hydroponics and aquaponics that included the indoor space for growing plants and fish and directly utilizing them to prepare food for the restaurants. My concept for this project originated from traditional aspects of the buildings in the north of Iran especially in Mazandaran.
